About Me
Hello, I’m Mindy. I’m a wife, mother, therapist, bookworm, and crochetier. Like most millennial women, I grew up with confusing messages about what it meant to be a woman. As a young adult, this left me with no blueprint on how to navigate the modern world. I went forward with the typical feminist outline for adult life – put career and achievement first and family will come later. I believed that I could have it all.
I quickly discovered this to not be the case. My demanding career took a toll on my marriage and my own mental health. Something was clearly amiss, as I though achieving my career dreams would bring me total happiness and fulfillment. Turns out, it did not.
So, I sought out role models, books, and media that could give me any answers on how to iron out my now dysfunctional life. Through that journey I realized how wrong I was about what it meant to be a woman. I was sabotaging my own happiness by following the lifestyle that was presented to me as “ideal” by modern society.
I do not have all the answers, but I invite you on this journey as we struggle together towards a better life. My goal is to help young women make more informed decisions about family, romantic relationships, and career. I pray that together we can pave a better path for young women everywhere as we re-discover what it means to be a woman in this chaotic modern landscape.
